About Me
I am a divorcee, the daughter of a widow, and a 30 something trying to navigate the single life, renovate a home by myself, and work on some fun DIY projects. During the day I am a corporate 9 to 5 rockstar, and at night I am a night owl dreamer working on rebuilding my life and my home. I started Birch and Dove to share my guide to navigating life and creating a home you are proud of when you are faced with starting over.

I decided to call this Birch and Dove because of what both of these symbolize.
In Celtic lore, the Birch Tree represents beginnings and renewals. I started working on my house and doing DIY projects in a season of a new beginning after my divorce. I hope through this other people going through similar times of renewal and change can find their strength through projects like I did.

Doves are also symbols of new beginnings, love, and prosperity. It may seem odd that I would relate to a Dove as a symbol of the new life I created for myself, but I chose it because through this season and through finding my strength and power, I learned to love myself again. And self love, I truly believe, is the key to creating the life you want to live.

I am so glad you're here and can't wait to share everything I've learned along the way!
