DIY Wall Planter

Hello! I have several blogs in the works that will get us up to speed with the projects that we are working on.

Today, I am bring us back to our patio project. The last project that we did for this space was a DIY plant wall. If you have been following us for awhile, you know that Caroline and I love pants. We incorporate a little greenery anywhere that we can. One of the ways that we incorporated plants into this project was with the plant wall.

Space Before Plant Wall

Space After Plant Wall

To make this plant wall we nailed together some boards to create the base of the planter. We then used brown stain to create a cohesive look that tied back to the rest of the space. Lastly, we used small planters and attached them to the base using hooks. Caroline decided that she wanted to put cactuses in these planters. Cactuses are a great resilient plant. They are a good option for people who have a hard time keeping plants alive, or someone who loves desert plants.

This was a pretty simple project that had a huge impact on this space.

Does this seem like a project you might want to tackle yourself? What are some of your favorite ways to use plants in a space?
